أعوذ بالله من الشيطان الرجيم

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

A muslim traveler arrived at the court of a Pious King, he informed the king as to how his people were being oppressed by a tyrant, he begged the King for assistance. The King being deeply moved, ordered a battalion to be sent, The Commander put in charge was the Kings oldest son the Prince.

A few weeks later news arrived that the Muslims had been defeated, and that the Prince who was in charge of the forces, had actually abandoned his own troops and was killed fleeing from battle.

The King was deeply grieved, and felt humiliated, not only were the troops defeated but his son had committed a grave sin by fleeing from the battle, and therefore dying an accursed death. He went and informed the Queen as to what had happened. The Queen replied ” Do not be grieved, for the news you heard is untrue. The King said “The entire Kingdom is talking about it,and I have received news from the front line confirming you’re sons cowardly demise, woman you seem to be blinded by Motherly love.” Saying this the King angrily marched away.

However a few days later a messenger arrived confirming the Queens belief, the Prince with his forces had defeated the enemy. The earlier news had been enemy propaganda.

The King being very overjoyed and surprised, asked the Queen how she had been so certain that the earlier news had been false. She said ” Oh my beloved, it was not motherly love that caused me to deny that story. When our son was a child, before I used to breast feed him I would do Wudu ,and as he was suckling I would recite the Darood Ibrahimi. I had firm conviction that a child who had drank milk, that had the sacred names of the Prophet Muhammad (saw), and his father Ibrahim(Alaihi Salaam) recited with it. Could not betray his deen.”
