أعوذ بالله من الشيطان الرجيم

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

The Messenger of Allah (pbuh) declared,

“Allah curses men who imitate women and women who imitate men.”( Bukhari)

In another narration,

“May Allah curse the masculine woman.” (Abu Dawud)

It means that the woman who behaves like men. He (pbuh) also said,

“May Allah curse the effeminate man and the masculine woman.” (Bukhari)

On the authority of Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) who said that the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) said,

“Allah curses a woman who wears a men’s clothing and a man who wears a woman’s dress.”( Abu Dawud)

When woman wears a man’s clothing, she will incur Allah’s curse upon herself and her husband as long as he does not rebuke her or try to discipline her character. The husband, in Islam, is responsible about disciplining and teaching his wife as the Glorious Qur’an commands,

{O ye who believe! Save yourselves and your families from a fire whose fuel is men and stones.] (Al- Tahrim: 6)

The Messenger of Allah (pbuh) stressed this fact saying,

“Each of you is a guardian and responsible about his subjects: The man is a guardian over his household and will be asked about them on the Day of Judgment.”( Bukhari)

He (pbuh) said further,

“Men would be perished because they obeyed women (in vanity).”( Ahmad)

Abu Hurairah narrated that the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) said,

“It will not be a witness for two types of people who are destined for the Hell-fire: People with whips like the tails of cows, who beat the people (i.e., tyrannical rulers who are the enemies of their own people), and women who although clothed, are yet naked, seducing and being seduced, their hair styled like the tilted humps of camels. These will not enter the Garden nor its fragrance even reach them, although its fragrance reaches a very great distance.” (Muslim)

The hadith depicts these women with clothed and naked ones meaning that although they are clothed by Allah’s gifts, they are naked because of their ingratitude. Other scholars hold that the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) described such women as being clothed, yet naked, since they wear clothes which fail to cover the body and which are transparent, revealing what is underneath.

Such women are further described as seducing and being seduced, meaning that they behave and walk in seductive and sensuous manner. They disobey Allah and call others to do so.

The Messenger (pbuh) likened their hairstyle to the humps, special breed of camel which has very large humps, because they put up their hair in a beehive shape from the middle of their heads.

Nafi’ said, “Once Ibn ‘Umar and ‘Abdullah Ibn ‘Amr were sitting with Al-Zubair Ibn ‘Abdul-Muttalib when a woman driving a flock of sheep and shouldering an arrow came to them. ‘Abdullah Ibn ‘Umar asked, “Are you man or woman?” She said, “A woman.” Thereupon ‘Abdullah said to his companions,

“Surely, Allah curse the women who imitate men and men who imitate women.” (Bukhari)

Thus, the display of women’s attractions is a cause for incurring Allah’s curse. This display may take various forms like exposing the ornament such as gold and pearls from under the head-covering, wearing revealing and sexy clothes, using of fragrant perfumes, etc. unfortunately, most of women today are accustomed to these immoral fashions.

By the same token, the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) stated,

“I looked at Hell-fire and saw the majority of its inhabitants are Women. “He (pbuh) disclosed further, “I left no harmful trial to men than women.”( Muslim)

stop threatening people with hellfire, and using random hadiths to justify it!!
the last hadith you quotes is stressing to women not to be ungrateful to their husbands! so you interpreted it wrong
the ppl who give fast fatwas and use copy and pasted ranomd hadiths will have to account for it!

      Bismillahirrahmanirraheem
      Assalamu alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuhu
Let Allah SWT guide us and all the muslims. Ameen
Prophets (peace be on all of them) were sent to give glad tidings of jannah to the believers and warn people of hell fire which is out of mercy of Allah SWT so people take heed. As far as random fatwas, we should first be in position to analyse if the hadith is right or wrong or if it was quoted right for which we need to study deen in depth and this is not possible by laymen and hence we have ulema and that article is from the book ‘List of seventy major sins’ by Imam dhahabi (RA), a great scholar of his time and he is the student of ibn Taymiyyah (RA). So we should be careful in commenting on scholars and not all can give fatwas. If we have doubt, we should get clarification from scholars and we should be humble and let Allah SWT forgive us all for our shortcomings. As far as being ungrateful to husbands, displaying one’s beauty by a woman to ghair mahram is also being ungrateful to her husband. You can submit your query here, from where the article was taken.

InshaaAllah some knowledgable people will be able to answer.

Also women are not commanded to be unclean and hate beautiful things and infact Allah SWT loves those who purify themselves and Allah SWT is beautiful and He SWT loves beauty. None asked women to hate the beauty but they are commanded not to display the beauty to ghair mahram lest they fall into fitna and so is the perfume. When they display the same to their husbands, they get more ajr. Muslim women shouldnot be like ignorant women displaying themselves leaving the haya and becoming a source of fitna to the men and also we know that women fall into trouble when some men get seduced by them by their immodest appearance. Believing men and women are protectors of each other and so women are obliged to protect the hayaa of men and vice versa and the literal meaning of hayaa comes from the Arabic root word which means ‘life.’ So when the hayaa is lifted from men and women, then their eeman goes off with that and what could be more worst for a muslim than losing the eeman?

As far as the command of Allah SWT and His Messenger SAW, we should know it is full of wisdom and we muslims should be of attitude ‘We hear and we obey.’ Islam commands on modesty for both men and women. If prophet SAW has forbid women from wearing perfume outside, women should just obey and a believing women will do so. Let Allah SWT forgive all the muslims and help us to accept His SWT advise and obey His SWT commands swiftly. Ameen Ameen thumma Ameen

No one is saying you should smell like musty armpits and you are within your rights to smell and loo beautiful but you have to understand that your beauty is for your husband’s not to show it of to the world.

But who decides what consitutes imitating a man? Some things are manly in one culture and genderless in another. Pants are considered as manly in some cultures but in europe they are considered both for men and for women. Its really hard to decide what exactly counts as imitating men today.

Pants in general are not considered unisex in any culture. A complete destruction of a deluded concept of equality is what makes some consider pants unisex in western cultures. Yes some pants are designed for women absolutely, but when those pants accompany a T-shirt and a completely boyish look then the purposely designed pants for females doesn’t serve any purpose and the curse of Allah would befall such a careless person.

Pants aren’t meant for woman.. they have made it a norm. They just make it tight for woman and loose for men. Well now men also wear tight clothing. I’m general pants shirt are for men . The tight clothing for woman is just to give that sexy look for a woman. Technically it’s men clothing but the west mostly has made us think otherwise .
